MG MAJESTOR 4X2 AT top variant launched at INR 40.99 Lakh

JSW MG Motor India has announced the launch of the much-anticipated MG MAJESTOR, introducing what the company describes as India’s first D+ SUV. Conceived for discerning buyers seeking greater capability, sophistication and commanding road presence from their next luxury SUV, the MAJESTOR blends muscular proportions with advanced engineering and premium comfort.

The MG MAJESTOR 4×2 Automatic Top Trim, available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations, has been launched at INR 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the MG MAJESTOR 4×4 Automatic Top Trim, offered exclusively as a 7-seater, has been priced at INR 44.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Engineered to deliver authentic SUV capability, the MAJESTOR is powered by a twin-turbo diesel engine producing a best-in-class 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque. The powertrain is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission across both the 2WD and advanced 4WD variants.

Further elevating its all-terrain credentials, the intelligent 4WD system incorporates 10 off-road modes, balancing everyday usability with rugged versatility. In Auto Mode, the SUV operates in 2WD under standard driving conditions before seamlessly transitioning to 4WD when traction loss is detected, particularly useful in rain, snow and slippery driving environments.

Strengthening its off-road prowess further, the MAJESTOR becomes the first SUV in its segment to feature front, rear and centre differential locks, enabling enhanced recovery capability even when wheel traction is compromised. Complementing this setup are Crawl Control Mode, a substantial 219 mm ground clearance and an impressive 810 mm water-wading capacity, underlining its readiness for demanding terrain.

Dimensionally, the MAJESTOR establishes a commanding presence with its expansive 2950 mm wheelbase. Measuring 5046 mm in length, 2016 mm in width and 1870 mm in height, the SUV combines imposing proportions with a distinctly premium stance.

Its exterior styling is equally assertive, featuring a striking Mosaic Matrix Grille, signature Dragon Eyes DRLs, Tri-beam headlamps, connected LED tail lamps, a raised bonnet line and 19-inch alloy wheels that collectively lend the SUV a bold yet refined visual identity.

Inside, the MAJESTOR’s cabin adopts a sophisticated black-themed layout finished with plush leather upholstery. The SUV offers ventilated and massaging seats, including a 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat and an 8-way adjustable front passenger seat. Premium touches extend to a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting and a three-zone climate control system.

Available in both 6- and 7-seat layouts, the MAJESTOR integrates dual 12.3-inch displays alongside wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The feature-rich cabin further includes a 12-speaker JBL surround sound system, dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet and more than 75 iSMART connected-car features, creating a thoroughly technology-forward driving experience.

Safety remains central to the MAJESTOR’s proposition. Equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the SUV offers assisted steering, braking and acceleration functions. Additional safety technologies include a 360-degree HD camera, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with ABS, EBD, Traction Control System (TCS) and Roll Movement Intervention (RMI), enhancing driver confidence across varied driving conditions.

The MAJESTOR will be offered in four exterior paint finishes – Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black and Metal Ash.

JSW MG Motor India is also extending its “MG SHIELD” ownership programme with the MAJESTOR. Customers will benefit from a three-year warranty with unlimited kilometres, three years of roadside assistance and three labour-free periodic services.

Owners will additionally have the flexibility to extend warranty coverage and roadside assistance or opt for Protect plans, the brand’s prepaid maintenance packages aimed at delivering a more seamless ownership experience. Further strengthening the value proposition, MG is also offering an assured buyback programme with up to 70 per cent buyback value.
