Oben Electric marks 10,000th motorcycle milestone; Plans 200 more showrooms

Oben Electric has rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its Bengaluru manufacturing facility, marking a significant milestone for the Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer as it scales production to meet growing demand for its Rorr Evo.

The achievement underscores the company’s evolution from an early pioneer in India’s electric motorcycle segment into a manufacturer focused on designing, developing and producing Made-in-India electric motorcycles for domestic riders. With Rorr Evo bookings crossing 25,000 and pan-India deliveries already underway, the company is stepping up production to accommodate customer demand.

The response to Rorr Evo has reinforced that belief, with strong demand translating into production and deliveries at scale. As we move into our next phase, our focus is on taking electric motorcycle to more riders, more cities and a much larger share of India’s motorcycle market.”

Supporting this expansion is Oben Electric’s 3.5-acre, vertically integrated manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, which has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh electric motorcycles. The company manufactures critical electric vehicle components in-house, including LFP batteries, motors, vehicle control units (VCUs), chargers and proprietary software. This integrated approach gives it greater control over technology, product quality and supply chains.

Beyond manufacturing, Oben Electric is expanding its nationwide retail and after-sales footprint. It currently operates more than 150 showrooms and dedicated Oben Care service centres across over 90 cities in 18 States. The company plans to establish an additional 200 exclusive showrooms by the end of FY27, widening access to its electric motorcycles and after-sales support.

The milestone also highlights the opportunity presented by India’s electric motorcycle market. Motorcycles account for nearly 65% of the country’s annual two-wheeler sales, making their electrification an important driver of wider electric vehicle adoption. As electric mobility moves beyond early adopters, making electric motorcycles practical and accessible will be central to bringing more Indian riders into the transition.
