Oben Electric’s Rorr Evo witnesses explosive demand ahead of deliveries

India’s fastest-growing R&D-driven electric motorcycle manufacturer, Oben Electric, has announced that its newly launched motorcycle, the Rorr Evo, has crossed 25,000 bookings within just 15 days of launch, establishing a fresh benchmark for demand within India’s rapidly expanding electric motorcycle segment.

The overwhelming market response to the Rorr Evo represents a defining milestone not only for Oben Electric, but also for India’s wider electric two-wheeler landscape. The achievement stands among the fastest booking accumulations seen in the category, underlining the growing consumer appetite for premium electric motorcycles that combine performance, practicality and ownership assurance.

A key factor reinforcing this milestone is Oben Electric’s extensive delivery preparedness. The company currently operates more than 150 showrooms and dedicated service centres across over 100 cities spanning 18+ States, ensuring comprehensive customer support throughout the ownership lifecycle. Each outlet is supported by specialised service centres under the Oben Care network, which reportedly maintains an industry-leading Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT) of 91%, reflecting the brand’s strong emphasis on reliability, customer experience and long-term ownership confidence.

Further strengthening its retail footprint, Oben Electric has also confirmed plans to establish 200 additional exclusive showrooms by the end of FY27.

The Rorr Evo was introduced at an introductory price of ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers, following which the motorcycle is priced at ₹1,24,999 (ex-showroom). The company has now opened its payment portal for customers seeking to avail the introductory pricing, while deliveries are scheduled to commence from June 2026.

Supporting this expansion strategy is Oben Electric’s vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem, designed around quality, scalability and reliability. The company develops and manufactures all critical EV components in-house, including LFP batteries, motors, vehicle control units (VCU), chargers and proprietary software systems. This vertically integrated approach allows tighter control over innovation, product quality, performance standards and production timelines.

Oben Electric’s fully integrated manufacturing facility presently has an annual production capacity of one lakh motorcycles, enabling the company to scale output rapidly in line with growing market demand.

Positioned well above its price segment in terms of technology and performance, the Rorr Evo is powered by Oben Electric’s proprietary IPMSM motor producing a peak power output of 9 kW. The heavy rare-earth-free motor is IP68-rated, 40% more compact than its predecessor and delivers 20% more power alongside 250 Nm of wheel torque.

The motorcycle is equipped with a 3.4 kWh LFP battery pack offering a claimed IDC range of 180 km, a 0–40 km/h sprint time of 3 seconds and a top speed of 110 km/h. Fast charging capabilities allow the battery to charge from 0–80% in 90 minutes, while the battery itself is backed by an 8-year warranty.

Balancing performance with everyday practicality, the Rorr Evo also features the segment’s longest seat and 10 litres of storage space. Enhancing the riding experience further is SmartIQ™, Oben Electric’s AI-powered ride optimisation technology, which the company claims can improve range by up to 15%.

Additional technology highlights include a 5-inch colour TFT display, over-the-air updates, turn-by-turn navigation, geo-fencing, remote immobilisation and fall detection with emergency SOS functionality, all integrated through Oben’s proprietary ARGUS connected technology platform.
