Oben Electric strengthens EV push as Rorr Evo deliveries begin after blockbuster bookings

Oben Electric, India’s rapidly expanding R&D-driven electric motorcycle manufacturer, has officially commenced customer deliveries of its newly launched Rorr Evo, following a surge of demand that has set new benchmarks in the segment. The first batch of customers in Bengaluru received their motorcycles through the brand’s signature First to Rorr delivery event, marking the beginning of a phased nationwide rollout across its 150-showroom network over the coming weeks.
The commencement of deliveries follows an extraordinary market response, with the Rorr Evo crossing 25,000 bookings within just 15 days of its launch in May 2026—making it the fastest demand accumulation recorded in its category. This overwhelming response has set the stage for a structured national expansion, supported by Oben Electric’s fully operational manufacturing ecosystem.
With an annual production capacity of 1 lakh electric motorcycles, the company is now scaling up deliveries while leveraging its vertically integrated ecosystem. Its retail and service footprint—spanning over 150 showrooms and Oben Care service centres across more than 90 cities in 18 states—forms the backbone of this rollout, ensuring consistency in both delivery and aftersales experience.
The milestone also underscores the accelerating momentum of electric motorcycles in India, where motorcycles account for nearly 65% of annual two-wheeler sales. As the segment continues to evolve, the shift towards electrification is increasingly being driven by demand for performance-oriented, practical, and dependable mobility solutions.
Madhumita Agrawal, Founder & CEO, Oben Electric, said, “Building demand is one milestone but consistently delivering on that demand is what builds enduring customer trust. The commencement of Rorr Evo deliveries marks an important milestone for us as strong customer demand now translates into real motorcycles on the road, and we are deeply grateful to the customers who placed their faith in us. India is a motorcycle-first nation, and the next phase of electric mobility will be defined by electric motorcycles that fit seamlessly into everyday riding. As manufacturers, our responsibility is to bridge the gap between aspiration and adoption by building electric motorcycles that deliver uncompromised performance, reliability, safety and ownership confidence. Every delivery is a step towards making electric motorcycles a practical and trusted choice for millions of Indian riders.”
Priced at ₹1,24,999 (ex-showroom), the Rorr Evo brings together performance and intelligence with SmartIQ™, Oben’s AI-powered ride optimisation system that enhances range by up to 15%. It is powered by a 9 kW motor paired with a 3.4 kWh LFP battery, delivering a claimed top speed of 110 km/h and 0–40 km/h acceleration in just 3 seconds.
Fast charging capability enables a 0–80% charge in 90 minutes, while an 8-year battery warranty adds long-term ownership confidence. The motorcycle also features a 5-inch TFT display, OTA updates, turn-by-turn navigation, geo-fencing, remote immobilisation, and fall detection with emergency SOS via the proprietary ARGUS connected platform.
With complete in-house control over critical EV components including batteries, motors, VCUs, chargers, and software, Oben Electric continues to strengthen its position as a vertically integrated EV manufacturer prepared for sustained national expansion.
