The iconic Sierra has entered an entirely new chapter. Tata.ev, India’s leader and pioneer in electric mobility, has officially introduced the all-new Sierra.ev, bringing one of the country’s most recognisable SUV nameplates into the electric era. Combining unmistakable design heritage with cutting-edge EV technology, immersive digital experiences and sophisticated engineering, the Sierra.ev has been conceived as a premium electric SUV without compromise.

With bookings commencing today and customer deliveries scheduled to begin from 15 July 2026, the all-new Sierra.ev is being offered at an introductory starting price of ₹18.79 lakh. Designed for buyers seeking distinctive styling, exhilarating performance and everyday versatility, the latest electric SUV promises generous space, intelligent technologies and genuine capability, while capitalising on the inherent advantages of electric mobility.

Its arrival also coincides with a pivotal phase in India’s automotive landscape, where electric mobility continues to gain significant momentum. Rising consumer confidence, improving total cost of ownership, rapid expansion of charging infrastructure and a progressively maturing EV ecosystem are accelerating the transition from early adoption to mainstream acceptance. Against this backdrop, Tata.ev positions the Sierra.ev as a new benchmark for the modern electric SUV—one that blends iconic character with progressive innovation.

Announcing the launch of the Sierra.ev, Shailesh Chandra, MD & CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said, “The Sierra has always stood for more than just mobility. It has been an icon of innovation, aspiration and progress, bringing the future closer to customers. When reintroduced, it once again broke new ground by creating India’s premium mid-SUV segment. Today, with Sierra.ev, we are taking that legacy forward and setting a new benchmark for what an uncompromised premium SUV can be in the electric era. Combining exceptional real-world range, exhilarating performance, intelligent technology, indulgent comfort and go-anywhere capability, the Sierra.ev delivers an SUV experience that is as desirable as it is transformative.

The mid-SUV segment sits at the heart of India’s SUV market, shaped by a new generation of customers who see their vehicle as a reflection of their lifestyle, ambitions and identity. As EVs move firmly into the mainstream, desirability will be the defining catalyst for adoption. The Sierra.ev is designed to lead that shift. More than our most advanced SUV yet, it is a bold expression of the future – making electric mobility more appealing, accessible and compelling than ever before, while accelerating India’s journey towards a cleaner, zero-emission future.”

With the Sierra.ev, Tata.ev says customers no longer have to choose between embracing electric mobility and enjoying everything expected from a premium SUV. Instead, the new model brings together enhanced capability, stronger performance and advanced technology, establishing a fresh benchmark for electric SUVs in India.

At the heart of the Sierra.ev is what Tata.ev describes as a Luxury LifeSpace with Indulgent Technology, combining generous interior space, refined craftsmanship and connected digital experiences. The cabin has been designed to deliver lounge-like comfort while seamlessly integrating intelligent technologies that enhance every journey.

Among the standout highlights are the Theatre Pro Horizon View triple-screen interface with the Arcade.ev ecosystem, a Dolby Atmos-enabled 12-speaker JBL Black audio system complemented by a SonicShaft soundbar, AirConsole smartphone-based in-car gaming—the first such feature in India—and the HypAR Head-Up Display featuring 19 augmented reality visuals across multiple display modes. The SUV also receives Ultra Glide Suspension with Frequency Dependent Damping, a segment-leading PanoraMax panoramic sunroof, a class-leading 622-litre boot with a powered gesture tailgate, powered front seats with thigh support extenders and Digi Access with e-Valet functions, including Auto Park Assist, summon and remote parking.

The Sierra.ev also introduces what Tata.ev calls Real-Life Real-World EV Supremacy, with an emphasis on delivering practical electric mobility in everyday conditions rather than solely laboratory-certified figures.

Powering the SUV is a 75 kWh battery pack delivering a claimed C75 real-world driving range of more than 500 kilometres*. Express charging enables approximately 263 kilometres of range in just 15 minutes, while charging from 20 to 80 per cent takes around 26 minutes*. Owners also benefit from a Lifetime High Voltage battery warranty**, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionality, India’s first Intelligent EV Route Planner integrated with Android Auto, DrivePay for in-car UPI transactions and charging payments, the 5G-enabled iRA.ev connected ecosystem with over 70 features, over-the-air software updates via the T.iDAL 2.0 architecture and Level 2+ ADAS incorporating 22 advanced driver assistance features.

Further strengthening its credentials is the Sierra.ev’s Go Anywhere, Do Anything (GADA) Performance philosophy. Built on Tata.ev’s advanced Acti.ev+ Pure EV architecture, the SUV combines electric performance with genuine off-road capability.

The QWD dual-motor powertrain produces 504 Nm of torque* while delivering on-demand all-wheel drive. With Boost Mode engaged, Tata.ev claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of approximately 5.8 seconds*. The Sierra.ev also features six dedicated terrain modes—Snow, Mud, Sand, Rock Crawl and Custom settings—along with Off-road Assist for low-speed terrain control, approximately 205 mm of ground clearance, more than 50 per cent restart gradability, a 540-degree HD surround-view camera with Transparent Mode and adaptive front and rear turn cameras to improve visibility across challenging terrain.

The all-new Sierra.ev will be available in seven exterior colour options: Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge, Andaman Adventure, the newly introduced Rishikesh Rapids, offered on the Empowered persona, and the exclusive Nainital Nocturne, reserved for the Empowered A QWD persona.

Bookings for the Tata Sierra.ev are now open, while customer deliveries are scheduled to commence from 15 July 2026.
