NEW DELHI
Ultraviolette has achieved a landmark milestone in global motorcycling by becoming the first Indian motorcycle manufacturer to complete the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit, widely regarded as one of the world’s most demanding and iconic motorcycle courses.
On June 6th, 2026, multiple Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 motorcycles successfully completed a lap of the famed 37.72-mile (60.72 km) Mountain Course. The motorcycles were ridden by former Isle of Man TT winner James Hillier, actor and motorcycle enthusiast Ranvijay Singha, and multiple national champion Abhishek Vasudev. The achievement has now been officially recognised by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.
The accomplishment marks a defining chapter not only for Ultraviolette but also for India’s rapidly evolving electric vehicle ecosystem. By completing one of the most revered racing circuits in motorcycling, the F77 MACH 2 has demonstrated the growing maturity, engineering sophistication and global competitiveness of Indian-developed electric motorcycles.
Speaking on the announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, “Completing a lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course with the F77s is a significant milestone for Ultraviolette and a proud moment for Indian design and engineering. It demonstrates how far electric motorcycle technology has evolved and reinforces our belief that high-performance electric mobility can compete on the world’s most demanding stages”.
Reflecting further on the significance of the achievement, Narayan added, “For decades, the Isle of Man TT has been where motorcycle technology is tested, proven, and celebrated. The TT Zero class was ahead of its time and showed the world that electric motorcycles could be more than an alternative; that they could be genuinely exciting, competitive and capable. Today, electric motorcycles have reached an entirely new level of capability and we would love to see electric racing return to the Isle of Man TT and continue driving the next chapter of motorcycle innovation.”
The latest achievement further strengthens Ultraviolette’s position as one of India’s most ambitious electric performance motorcycle manufacturers, while underlining the nation’s growing prominence in next-generation mobility innovation on the global stage.
