Ultraviolette has announced that its Shockwave electric motorcycle will be built on the company’s newly developed 100V architecture, ahead of its planned launch in the first quarter of 2027. The move is expected to bring the potential for stronger power delivery, improved thermal efficiency and faster charging to the brand’s lightweight motorcycle platform.

Conceived as a FUNDURO motorcycle, the Ultraviolette Shockwave has been designed around the sheer enjoyment of riding. Drawing inspiration from the raw, spirited character of classic two-stroke motorcycles, the model represents the company’s interpretation of a more instinctive, engaging and unfiltered riding experience.

With its launch on the horizon, Ultraviolette has also begun setting up the Shockwave’s production line at its existing manufacturing facility. The company has officially confirmed that the motorcycle will be offered in both single-seat and dual-seat configurations, broadening its appeal to riders seeking different seating arrangements.

Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder & CEO, Ultraviolette said: “From the outset, we envisioned the Shockwave as a motorcycle that would bring back the pure enjoyment of riding. Bringing our 100V architecture to the Shockwave is an important step in realising that vision. When it launches in Q1 2027, we are certain it will be an exceptionally engaging motorcycle to ride. The Shockwave and Tesseract have been in parallel development over the past year and work is already underway to set up the Shockwave production line at our existing facility.”

The adoption of the 100V architecture follows Ultraviolette’s earlier announcement that its Tesseract would also incorporate the technology. Although the Shockwave and Tesseract are intended to deliver distinct riding experiences, the shared architectural direction underlines the company’s continued investment in electric vehicle technology and the development of its product portfolio.

The new architecture is expected to play a significant role in shaping the Shockwave’s performance and charging capabilities. However, Ultraviolette has yet to disclose the motorcycle’s final technical specifications or provide further details about its market introduction.

The Ultraviolette Shockwave is scheduled to launch in Q1 2027, with additional specifications and launch information to be announced closer to its introduction. As preparations advance at the company’s existing manufacturing facility, further details are expected to clarify the positioning of this lightweight electric motorcycle in Ultraviolette’s expanding portfolio.
