NEW DELHI
Ultraviolette has announced a strategic evolution of the Tesseract electric scooter, introducing India’s first 100V architecture for scooters , a significant advancement that marks a new chapter in the brand’s high-performance electric mobility ambitions.
The upgraded platform is designed to future-proof the Tesseract by delivering substantial gains in performance capability, charging potential, efficiency, and long-term scalability. In light of these developments, alongside continued refinement of the product, Ultraviolette has confirmed that the Tesseract will now be launched in January 2027.
Since unveiling the Tesseract, Ultraviolette has undertaken extensive nationwide customer showcases and roadshows, allowing thousands of prospective riders to interact directly with the scooter, as well as the company’s design and engineering teams. According to the company, insights gathered through these engagements have played a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of product development.
The feedback has contributed towards improvements in ergonomics, rider comfort, interface usability, practicality, and the overall design execution of the scooter.
At the heart of this latest evolution lies the new 100V powertrain architecture, which reflects Ultraviolette’s long-term vision of building a future-ready scooter platform capable of delivering elevated levels of performance and technological sophistication.
The advanced architecture enables:
- 3X more power delivery compared to the industry
- 2X faster charging capability
- Higher sustained performance under demanding riding conditions
- Higher load carrying capability
- Improved overall system reliability and energy efficiency
Speaking on the announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, “Building the Tesseract has been an incredibly ambitious and challenging journey for us. As we pushed the platform further through development and validation, it became evident that achieving the benchmarks we had set for ourselves required additional engineering and refinement – especially on the ride ergonomics and radical redesign of the battery architecture. While this extends our launch timeline, it ensures that every Tesseract customer receives a scooter that is not only future ready but embodies the Ultraviolette DNA of performance, technology, and reliability.”
Niraj Rajmohan, CTO & Co-founder, Ultraviolette, added, “From the very beginning, the vision for the Tesseract was to create a scooter that would redefine benchmarks for the industry. Delivering on the performance and technology promises we made, while staying true to the Ultraviolette DNA, required us to rethink and evolve the platform significantly. The transition to a 100V architecture is a major step in that direction, enabling higher levels of power delivery, load carrying capability, and efficiency. Every engineering decision we have made on the Tesseract has been guided by our commitment to deliver a product that sets a new standard for mobility- in India and globally.”
Ultraviolette further revealed that the Tesseract platform is currently undergoing extensive real-world testing and validation across multiple terrains, environmental conditions, and riding scenarios. The validation programme is aimed at ensuring comprehensive coverage of customer use-cases ahead of the scooter’s market introduction in January 2027.
With the transition to a 100V architecture, the Tesseract positions itself as one of the most technologically ambitious electric scooters emerging from India’s rapidly evolving EV landscape, underlining Ultraviolette’s intent to establish new global benchmarks in electric mobility.
