VIDA, powered by Hero, has further strengthened its electric mobility portfolio with the introduction of the new VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh. Designed to advance the brand’s vision of ‘GHAR GHAR EVOOTER,’ the latest long-range variant broadens the VX2 family to four distinct offerings, catering to the varied lifestyles and mobility requirements of Indian riders.
Beyond its product credentials, the newest addition has already demonstrated its endurance credentials in spectacular fashion, earning an official place in the Asia Book of Records for the “Longest Journey by an Electric Scooter” following a landmark cross-country expedition.
Priced at INR 1,43,990*, the VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh features a total battery capacity of 4.4 kWh through dual removable 2.2 kWh battery packs. The electric scooter delivers an IDC-certified riding range of 187 km, positioning it as the longest-range offering within the VX2 portfolio.
Charging capabilities have also been enhanced to support both everyday commuting and extended touring. The scooter comes equipped with a first-in-industry 1 kW portable charger, capable of charging the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in 3 hours and 30 minutes. For riders seeking quicker turnaround times, DC fast charging enables the battery to replenish from 0 to 80 per cent in just 65 minutes.
Complementing the vehicle’s capabilities is VIDA’s rapidly expanding charging and service ecosystem. With more than 6,000 fast charging stations and over 700 service touchpoints across the country, the company aims to provide riders with dependable support wherever their journeys take them. Engineered to balance urban practicality with long-distance capability, the new VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh has been developed to deliver a versatile riding experience across diverse conditions.
Performance remains another key highlight. The VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh produces 6 kW of peak power alongside 26 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 90 km/h. Riders can choose between Eco, Ride and Sports modes, while a dedicated Boost function has been incorporated to assist during overtaking manoeuvres.
Technology features include a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. Practicality is further enhanced by 27.2 litres of under-seat storage, while the Combined Braking System (CBS) has been specifically tuned to suit Indian road conditions.
Speaking on the launch, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, stated:
“Every innovation we drive is a direct reflection of our customers’ needs. The demand for longer, uninterrupted journeys and faster charging is a critical requirement for EV adoption. With the VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh variant, we are offering a longer range that completely fulfills our riders’ long-distance aspirations elevated by the first-in-industry 1kW portable charger. By expanding our portfolio to four distinct variants, we are ensuring that ‘GHAR GHAR EVOOTER’ isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, but a tailored choice backed by deep consumer trust and proven engineering durability.”
Adding further credibility to its long-distance capabilities, VIDA has officially secured a place in the Asia Book of Records for the “Longest Journey by an Electric Scooter” after successfully completing an extraordinary 12,111 km expedition.
The historic 52-day ride was undertaken in partnership with Girish Shet, a passionate rider and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) supporter. Beginning in Bengaluru and concluding in Delhi, the journey traversed every KKR match host city, validating the endurance, reliability and charging convenience of the new VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh during an extended real-world road trip.
In addition to expanding its product range, VIDA continues to promote flexible electric mobility ownership through its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plans, allowing customers to access more affordable and adaptable ownership options.
The VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh will be available across authorised dealerships nationwide by the end of July 2026.
