ndia Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has announced a significant design evolution for the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, reaffirming its commitment to catering to the evolving tastes of younger, style-led customers. The refreshed scooter adopts a more compact and contemporary silhouette, lending it a sharper, more agile stance that is particularly well-suited to urban commuting.
The revised proportions, notably the trimmed rear length, enhance manoeuvrability while imparting a visually lighter and more dynamic character. This careful reworking ensures that the Fascino remains both fashionable and functionally adept in dense city environments.
At the heart of this update lies a meticulously redesigned rear profile. The newly sculpted tail section, complemented by redesigned taillights, flashers, and Yamaha’s distinctive V-iconic taillight motif, lends the scooter a balanced and premium aesthetic. The visual enhancements extend to newly designed decals, reinforcing the scooter’s contemporary appeal.

Importantly, these design refinements have been conceptualised and executed in India by Yamaha’s R&D team, reflecting direct customer feedback and reinforcing the brand’s design-driven philosophy.
Commenting on the upgrade, Mr. Hajime Aota, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said, “The journey of Yamaha’s Fascino reflects our unwavering dedication to evolving with our customers. While our 1.5 million production milestone stands as a powerful testament to the trust placed in our products, we remain committed to pushing boundaries. As the preferences of today’s youth shift toward more diverse and sophisticated expressions of style, the new Fascino has been thoughtfully transformed into a trendsetting, unisex mobility solution. This evolution, led by our India-based R&D team, ensures that the refined design and trusted hybrid performance resonate with every rider seeking a perfect blend of innovation and practicality. We believe this new chapter for the Fascino will redefine the standard for urban commuting in India.”
Since its debut in 2015 as a stylish 110cc unisex scooter, the Fascino has consistently evolved in response to changing consumer expectations. The transition to a BS6-compliant 125cc fuel-injected model in 2019 marked a significant leap in efficiency and performance.
In 2021, Yamaha introduced hybrid technology to the Fascino lineup, making it the brand’s first hybrid scooter with Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Power Assist. The progression continued into 2025 with the addition of Enhanced Power Assist, a Colour TFT instrument cluster, and the Answer Back feature, further elevating convenience and connectivity.

Powering the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid is Yamaha’s Blue Core Hybrid 125cc air-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-stroke SOHC 2-valve engine. The hybrid system—integrating Smart Motor Generator (SMG), Silent Start, Stop & Start System (SSS), and Enhanced Power Assist—ensures brisk initial acceleration, improved load-carrying capability, and effortless incline climbing, all while maintaining impressive fuel efficiency.
The scooter also benefits from telescopic suspension, side stand engine cut-off, E20 fuel compatibility, and a practical 21-litre under-seat storage compartment. With an overall length of 1780 mm, the Fascino strikes a fine balance between compactness and usability.
The premium Fascino S variant further enhances the ownership experience with a Colour TFT instrument cluster offering Turn-by-Turn navigation and the Answer Back function, underlining Yamaha’s focus on connected mobility.
The latest update arrives as Yamaha celebrates the production milestone of 1.5 million Fascino units. This achievement underscores the model’s enduring popularity and the effectiveness of its timely, trend-aligned upgrades over the years.
Available in a range of contemporary colour options, the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid will be retailed across Yamaha dealerships, including Blue Square outlets, with prices starting at INR 76,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
