Finally, the long wait will be over on Jan 17, the inaugural day, of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, when Hyundai Creta Electric will be launched in the Indian market. It will be the South-Korean brand’s first mass-market EV for India. Though the company has been retailing two electric cars in the domestic market in the form of the Kona and the Ioniq 5, both are CBUs, making them rather expensive for the common man. Therefore, in order to maximize their EV reach and bridge this gap, Hyundai, is now launching the Creta Electric in India. Here’s a look at what Hyundai’s latest electric SUV has to offer. Hyundai Creta Electric Rivals The Creta Electric will directly lock horns with Tata Curvv, Mahindra BE 6, and the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara in the Indian market. Hyundai Creta Electric Design Hyundai has retained the overall design of the electric SUV from its ICE counterpart, except for a few EV-specific cosmetic updates. The conventional front grille has been replaced by a pixelated graphic unit which also houses the charging port. The lower bumper too flaunts pixelated graphics.
