Vilas Deshpande, Chief Operating Officer of Vayve Mobility, who divides his time between Pune, India, and Cincinnati, USA, reflects on the beginnings of their journey four years ago, when their inaugural concept was first unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo. It was here that they received invaluable insights from attendees, gaining a deeper understanding of their preferences and criticisms, while also gathering suggestions for future enhancements. Upon returning home, this feedback played a pivotal role in refining the vehicle’s development, ultimately shaping it into the model we see today. “Our philosophy behind this new car, EVA, is deeply rooted in addressing the growing challenge of urban mobility,” Deshpande explains. “We observed an increasing trend where more and more individuals are opting for larger vehicles, such as SUVs, which occupy excessive space and consume disproportionate amounts of energy and resources for city commuting.
