BMW India is all set to launch the 2024 5 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB) on July 24, 2024, in the country. After China, India is the second country in the world to get the long wheelbase version of the eighth-gen BMW 5 Series. The 5 Series LWB will lock horns directly with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6 and Volvo S90 in the Indian market. Since the German luxury brand has already revealed the details of the India-spec model, sans the engine specs, here’s what we know so far about the 2024 BMW 5 Series LWB… Flaunting a ‘2.5-boxdesign’, as BMW calls it, the 2025 5 Series LWB is presented in a more coupe-like avatar with contoured lines and contrasting colours. The front fascia gets the signature BMW kidney grille, albeit a larger one than before. There are sweptback Matrix LED headlamps with DRLs. It rides on 18-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels which are shod with 225/55 section tyres. The ground clearance also seems to have increased in comparison to the standard 5 Series and the massive wheel arches appear to dominate the side profile.
