Glass Act!

If you want to be a quick driver, you’ll need a good pair of ‘balls. Bet you read that twice, but eyeballs are what I’m on about. Well, if you can’t see where you’re going then you’re probably not going anywhere. Naturally, you must do all you can to help yourself see better. Before you jump to it and accuse me of peddling corrective eye surgery, let me tell you that I’m doing no such thing. Today, I’m talking sunglasses. Sunglasses and driving. What could possibly connect the two? Plenty. More than what the average motorist would imagine. As a matter of fact, a good pair of sunglasses, apart from making you look fab, goes a mile and a half in keeping you in the driver’s seat for longer and for keeping your driving sharper. Among obvious benefits, which I have seen firsthand as an expat in the Sultanate of Oman, is the fact that a good pair of sunglasses prevents fatigue from constantly squinting in bright sunshine. Not to mention, there’s the added benefit of postponing those crow’s feet. After all, vanity is great, but fact is, not all of us are Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig
